An associated methodological paper entitled Measuring Public Opinion about Sentencing considers issues that arise when measuring informed public opinion about sentencing.
Pathways to Justice In response to concerns that the sentencing process was in need of reform the Victorian Government requested Professor Arie Freiberg in 2000 to review aspects of Victoria's sentencing laws.
Provocation in Sentencing The Provocation in Sentencing Research Paper examines provocation in sentencing decisions in Victoria, interstate and internationally. The paper suggests an approach to considering provocation in sentencing. The second edition of this paper was released in July 2009.
