Combined Custody and Treatment Order
A Combined Custody and Treatment Order (CCTO) combines an immediate term of imprisonment, of at least six months, with a period of supervised treatment in the community.
- A CCTO can be ordered for a maximum of one year and a conviction must be recorded.
- A CCTO is for offenders whose drunkenness or drug addiction contributed to the commission of the crime.
- The law relating to CCTOs is contained in sections 18Q-18W of the Sentencing Act 1991.
