This review considers the appropriate statutory maximum penalties for the offences of breaching a family violence intervention order, a stalking intervention order and a family violence safety notice. The review will also consider sentencing practices for the offence of breaching an intervention order.
Part of the Sentencing Advisory Council's role is in educating and informing the public about sentencing issues.
