Myths and Misconceptions: Public Opinion versus Public Judgment about Sentencing

The Myths and Misconceptions: Public Opinion versus Public Judgment about Sentencing research paper provides analyses of both the substantive and methodological issues in the field, with discussion of the way to progress the capacity of the Council to gauge public opinion on sentencing in Victoria.

The More Myths and Misconceptions paper revisits some of the key messages derived from Myths and Misconceptions and updates these findings with the most recent research that has been published since that paper's release in 2006.

The Measuring Public Opinion about Sentencing paper is designed to consider some of the methodological issues that arise when measuring informed public opinion about sentencing.
