The Sentencing Advisory Council provides statistical information on sentencing, including information on current sentencing practices, to the public, the judiciary and the government.
The statistics in this section provide information on:
- sentencing trends
- adult and young offender prisoner populations
- persons serving correctional orders other than imprisonment
- sentencing and corrections data.
Where the Council has considered it useful, national and international comparative data are also provided.
