The Sentencing Advisory Council has released updated higher courts (County and Supreme Courts) sentencing statistics on SACStat, the Council’s online statistical database.

The update includes data on over 250 offences sentenced in Victoria’s higher courts over the five years to 30 June 2021.

SACStat incorporates all higher courts offences with 10 or more sentenced charges over the five-year period.

Updated sentencing data for the Magistrates’ Court was released earlier this year and is also current to 30 June 2021.

Court of Appeal data

Changes to sentence or conviction are incorporated into SACStat’s higher courts data for all successful appeals that were determined prior to 1 July 2021.
