SACStat Sentencing Database Updated with New Data on over 500 Magistrates’ Court Offences

The Sentencing Advisory Council today released an update of its SACStat sentencing database.

SACstat now has data on over 500 offences sentenced in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria over the three years to 30 June 2021.

SACStat includes all offences heard in the Magistrates’ Court with 40 or more sentenced charges over the three-year period.

Some of the new offences in the update include:

SACStat also presents data on over 250 offences sentenced in the County and Supreme Courts (the higher courts) of Victoria for the five years to 30 June 2020.
