You Be the Judge is a package of teaching materials on sentencing in Victoria designed for Years 11 and 12. The materials reflect the curriculum for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Legal Studies.
The teachers’ kit incorporates a teacher guide and three case studies with PowerPoint slides, notes and suggested student activities.
The case studies consider the offences of aggravated burglary, dangerous driving causing death and theft.
The teachers’ kit can be read alongside A Quick Guide to Sentencing, which provides teachers and students with an overview of Victorian sentencing law.
