The Sentencing Advisory Council has updated both its Quick Guide to Sentencing and Guide to Sentencing Schemes to reflect changes made by the Youth Justice Act 2024 (Vic) that came into effect today, including a new suite of sentencing orders for children.

The Guide to Sentencing Schemes in Victoria assists judicial officers, practitioners and others to understand how particular sentencing schemes apply to particular offences.
